Apple has officially made the new Mac mini and Mac Studio desktop computers available for purchase online and in retail locations across Saudi Arabia. The updated lineup introduces the latest generation of Apple silicon, targeting both general consumers and technical professionals. Users can access the hardware directly through official retail stores and authorized local resellers.
Hardware Specifications for the new Mac mini
The base configuration of the desktop features an M6 chip equipped with a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerators built into each core. In addition, it integrates a Dual 16-core Neural Engine designed to handle on-device artificial intelligence tasks. Memory options start at 16GB of unified memory, configurable up to 32GB, with memory bandwidth reaching up to 170GB/s.
For users requiring additional processing power, Apple offers an M5 Pro version of the new Mac mini. This model provides an up-to-18-core CPU and an up-to-20-core GPU, paired with up to 64GB of unified memory and 307GB/s bandwidth. Furthermore, both desktop versions support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 2.5Gb Ethernet connectivity with an optional 10Gb port.
Mac Studio Processing Capabilities and Expansion
The updated Mac Studio addresses heavy professional workloads using M5 Max and M5 Ultra processors. The M5 Max edition includes an 18-core CPU, up to a 40-core GPU, and up to 128GB of memory. Meanwhile, the M5 Ultra variant provides an up-to-36-core CPU, an up-to-80-core GPU, and up to 512GB of unified memory with a memory bandwidth of 1.2TB/s.
Both studio configurations feature Thunderbolt 5 ports capable of transfer speeds up to 120Gb/s. Specifically, the implementation includes Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), which allows multiple desktop units to cluster together for distributed inference workloads in computers environments.
Operating System and Display Support
The new desktop devices ship with macOS 27 Golden Gate installed. This release introduces performance updates to search utilities alongside customizable visual settings for the Liquid Glass interface, letting users adjust opacity preferences directly in system controls. Moreover, the Mac Studio supports output to up to eight separate external displays.
Retail Pricing and Regional Availability
Purchases for the new Mac mini start at SAR 4,299 for the standard M6 configuration, with education pricing starting at SAR 3,799. The M5 Pro configuration begins at SAR 7,999. In contrast, the Mac Studio begins at SAR 11,999 for the M5 Max model, whereas the M5 Ultra edition is priced starting at SAR 25,999, with 512GB unified memory models arriving in late October.
