The new Acer Vero 16 laptop has been officially announced by Acer, introducing a modular design built around component repairability and recycled materials. Powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the system functions as a Copilot+ PC capable of delivering up to 180 platform TOPS for local AI processing tasks.
Design and Repairability of the Acer Vero 16
The chassis incorporates 50% post-industrial recycled aluminum and 50% low-carbon aluminum across its top and palm-rest covers. In addition, the bottom cover uses 60% post-consumer recycled plastic, while the display bezels contain 30% recycled plastics. The laptop carries a MIL-STD-810H certified solvent-free powder-coated finish designed to resist wear and lower VOC emissions.
Maintenance is simplified through a tool-free bottom access latch, a detachable external hinge, and removable side I/O port covers. Users can directly replace the battery and SSD, while internal visual guides assist with servicing. Furthermore, the mainboard architecture supports processor upgrades across at least two generations.

Hardware Specifications and Display Options
Processing configurations scale up to the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H paired with Intel Arc B390 graphics. Memory options reach up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X, accompanied by up to 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage. The device includes a 71 Wh battery supporting fast charging.
Visual configurations feature a 16-inch 3K OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, two USB Type-A ports, an SD card reader, and Intel Wi-Fi 7.
Integrated Software and Audio Systems
The system integrates specialized camera and microphone processing, including Acer PurifiedView and Acer PurifiedVoice with background noise reduction. System performance profiles and hardware diagnostics are managed via the dedicated AcerSense platform.
For video calls, the laptop provides a 5 MP infrared camera with a built-in privacy shutter. Audio output is handled by dual anti-vibration speakers certified with DTS Virtual:X.
Market Availability and Packaging
The Acer Vero 16 will ship in 100% recyclable packaging made entirely from recycled paper materials. The product will be released across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa during the first quarter of 2027.
