NetBrain Technologies has expanded its Agentic NetOps Platform by introducing new Change and Assessment artificial intelligence agents. These additions join the existing Diagnosis agent on the NetOps Harness system to assist network engineers during live operational workflows.
The system provides real-time network context, operational tools, and automated guardrails to direct agent actions under human supervision. According to the company, these additions allow engineering teams to move toward proactive network troubleshooting, change execution, and outage prevention across enterprise environments.
Expansion of the Agentic NetOps Platform
The new software release allows network engineers to evaluate proposed modifications, execute network updates, and confirm results safely. Assessment agents regularly scan networks to identify operational drift and configuration issues before service disruptions occur.
“Network engineers already use the live context and automation on our platform to reduce change execution and validation effort by 85%. Now, with a growing team of agents that can take on any NetOps task under human governance, they can extend that same impact across the full lifecycle, from diagnosis to decision to action.”
Bernadette Nixon, CEO at NetBrain Technologies
Through the AI Agent Studio, enterprise customers can build custom software agents tailored to specific operational requirements. The platform supports human-in-the-loop, on-the-loop, and autonomous execution modes to maintain oversight across all automated tasks.
Integration with Third-Party IT Systems
The NetOps Harness connects with broader IT operations infrastructure through an MCP server. This setup enables external AI agents from platforms such as ServiceNow, Big Panda, and Cisco Cloud Control to interact with live network topologies and runbook automation.
“Customers want agentic reasoning that’s grounded in the live state of their network, not an outdated model, combined with safe, human-approved automation. That requires a best-of-breed NetOps Platform and Harness that enables and manages agents optimized for network operations.”
Song Pang, Chief Technology Officer at NetBrain Technologies
IT teams can also link custom agents created with tools such as Claude and Codex to the central network framework. This capability maintains deterministic, human-audited executions while sharing contextual telemetry across connected productivity software stacks.
Enterprise Performance and Operational Outcomes
Grounding agent reasoning in live network telemetry reduces mean time to resolution during active alerts. As automated agents and engineers resolve incidents, operational data converts into structured runbooks that teams can reuse across future maintenance cycles.
“What sets NetBrain apart is you ask a question in plain English and get to root cause. Not just what caused the issue, but what it ruled out. What used to take 6 to 8 hours manually now takes minutes.”
Ray Massad, IT Infrastructure Engineer III at Geisinger Health
Organizations using the telecommunications and network management tools can lower operational expenses through repeatable workflows. Gartner reported in its May 10, 2026 Market Guide for Agentic NetOps Software that AI agents will become the primary method for network runtime activities by 2030, rising from less than 1% in early 2026.
Availability and Enterprise Deployment
The expanded Agentic NetOps Platform updates will roll out to all NetBrain enterprise customers in early October 2026. NetBrain currently provides network automation technology to approximately one-third of the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 enterprises globally.
