Emerson – QFZA Signing Ceremony
Emerson announced plans to build the new Emerson service center in Qatar to deliver automation solutions across the region. The planned 3,500-square-meter operations facility will be located in the Umm Alhoul Free Zone. It will feature the first certified in-country flow calibration laboratory in the regional market.
Expansion in the Umm Alhoul Free Zone
The upcoming Emerson service center will expand local engineering and support capabilities for industrial clients in Qatar and across the Middle East and Africa. In addition, the site adds to the company’s existing network of manufacturing and service locations in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Technical Capabilities and Staged Rollout
The facility is designed to calibrate large-size flow meters for high-pressure and high-volume industrial operations. Furthermore, the site will provide measurement instrumentation solutions, skid training systems, off-the-shelf inventory distribution, and integration services for distributed control systems.
Operations at the Emerson service center will open in scheduled phases. Control systems staging, measurement services, spare parts inventory, and a training center for customer operations teams are scheduled to open in December 2026. Consequently, the certified flow calibration lab will follow with an opening in early 2027.
Emerson Service Center Partnership Agreement
The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony on the sidelines of the Qatar Economic Forum in New York City. The event included Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, chief executive officer of the Qatar Free Zones Authority, and Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, minister of commerce and industry and chairman of the authority. The initiative aligns directly with economic diversification goals under Qatar National Vision 2030.
Regional Industrial Support
Through this expansion, the company intends to help industrial clients optimize operations, minimize project turnaround times, and lower overall operational expenses. Meanwhile, the specialized hub will operate alongside a wider network of accredited service partners across regional markets.
