Amadeus has announced plans to deploy Amadeus Max across the Gulf region to help travel agencies manage operational workflows. The software operates as an embedded digital assistant directly within the Amadeus Selling Platform Connect system, rather than functioning as an independent tool.

The system assists consultants with navigating complex airline fare rules, interpreting Passenger Name Record (PNR) histories, and creating automated workflows. By placing artificial intelligence directly inside current booking environments, travel sellers can access immediate guidance during daily reservations.

Integration of Amadeus Max in Travel Operations

Travel agencies across the Gulf Cooperation Council are seeking digital tools to reduce operational complexity. In response, the new tool provides immediate data retrieval, which reduces the time required to interpret intricate fare rules and passenger history records.

Furthermore, the built-in system helps reduce booking errors and supports the onboarding process for new travel agents. The deployment also builds upon existing integrations with cloud services and Microsoft Azure OpenAI tools used in corporate travel booking and hotel operational systems.

“Travel agents today are operating in an increasingly dynamic and information-intensive environment where speed, precision, and customer experience are more important than ever. The introduction of Amadeus Max for Travel Sellers reflects our commitment to equipping the travel trade with intelligent tools that simplify complexity, improve productivity, and allow agents to focus on delivering more meaningful traveller experiences.”

Platform Infrastructure and Processing Capabilities

The underlying infrastructure supporting the tool processes substantial global travel activity. The central system handles up to 150,000 transactions per second during peak travel booking periods worldwide.

Specifically, the enterprise platform connects multiple operational systems across airlines, hospitality providers, and travel sellers. Operating as an industry system of record since 1987, the company uses central governance through its dedicated AI Office to maintain data security and operational stability.

Regional Expansion Across Gulf Markets

The rollout addresses rising travel volume throughout the Middle East. As regional demand expands, automated assistance allows travel agencies to scale customer servicing without proportional increases in administrative delays.

Consequently, the implementation of Amadeus Max aims to improve responsiveness for travel sellers handling sophisticated passenger itineraries. The company stated that embedding real-time guidance directly into core reservation interfaces creates a more structured servicing environment across regional travel offices.

Corporate Background and Industry Footprint

Amadeus maintains a workforce representing more than 150 nationalities across its global technology divisions. The company is publicly traded on the Spanish Stock Exchange under the ticker AMS.MC as a member of the IBEX 35 index.

In addition, the enterprise has maintained inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 13 consecutive years. The regional launch in the Gulf marks the next phase of its technical program to deploy specialized machine learning tools into operational travel technology systems.
