Cairo Bank has implemented Genetec Security Center to consolidate physical security and surveillance operations across its nationwide network of over 230 branches. The financial institution, which serves more than three million customers in Egypt, deployed the platform to meet regulatory mandates established by the Central Bank of Egypt while advancing institutional digital transformation goals.

Centralized Command and Control Implementation

The deployment connects video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection into a unified operational hub. Operators currently manage more than 6,000 cameras across 122 active branches from a central control room, with deployment across the remaining network approaching completion.

The system structure separates operational roles to maintain governance standards. IT personnel and security staff monitor hardware health and system metrics without direct access to live camera feeds, ensuring compliance with institutional privacy protocols in line with modern cybersecurity standards.

“Unification and scalability were just the starting points. From day one, I knew we wanted functionalities that add value to all aspects of our operations. Security Center delivered everything we wanted in one easy-to-use solution.”

Operational Intelligence With Genetec Security Center

Beyond standard surveillance monitoring, Genetec Security Center introduces automated analytics across the branch network. The software tracks branch activity patterns and customer flow, converting security infrastructure into operational data streams that assist administrative decision-making in the broader banking and business sector.

System Architecture and Integration

The open architecture of Genetec Security Center permits the integration of existing third-party hardware. Consequently, the bank preserved previous infrastructure investments while retaining the capability to integrate additional hardware providers during future expansions.

Integrated Technics managed the proof of concept, technical design, and full deployment as the primary systems integrator. The firm continues to provide technical maintenance as the system scales across all locations.

“The Command and Control Room gives Cairo Bank a real-time operational hub built on Security Center, bringing video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection into a single interface. This enables operators to monitor activity across the branch network, coordinate responses and make faster, more informed decisions.”

Walid Alagamy, CEO of Integrated Technics

Future Expansion and Compliance

The unified security framework supports Cairo Bank’s alignment with Egypt Vision 2030 initiatives regarding operational compliance and financial inclusion. As the remaining branches connect to the central hub, the financial group plans to use centralized operational reporting to improve risk detection and network management.
