In Saudi Arabia, Trend Micro blocked 65,175,007 email threats, 2,337,074 malicious URL attempts, and detected 976,508 malware threats.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a result, MENA\u2019s security spend has grown by 10 percent to USD 1.9 billion in 2019, with cloud security spend increasing 108 percent to USD 9 million, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2018-10-22-gartner-says-middle-east-and-north-africa-enterprise-information-security-spending-will-grow-9-percent-in-2019\">according to Gartner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe speed of change in the virtualized data center is unprecedented. As multi-cloud and hybrid usage grows, Middle East CIOs are finding that using legacy security in the data center and cloud does not work, because nobody has a holistic visibility on security and compliance,\u201d said Bilal Baig, Technical Director \u2013 MENA, Trend Micro. \u201cAs MENA faces unprecedented cyber-threats, organizations need to move from \u2018cloud chaos\u2019 to \u2018hybrid groove\u2019 by automating and security. CIOs that implement security from the planning phase can find massive savings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the biggest business benefits of cloud security is that organizations that implement security in the DevOps and application planning process can find 30 times lower costs in resolving threats and risk, compared to deploying security at the run time, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nist.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/director\/planning\/report02-3.pdf\">according to NIST<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCloud security is a shared responsibility,\u201d added Bilal Baig \u201cCloud providers need to secure their cloud infrastructure, and customers need to secure their operating system, apps, and data, as well as meeting compliance regulations for their servers, workloads, and endpoints.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit, Trend Micro will present how organizations can secure physical, virtual, cloud, and container environments with its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trendmicro.com\/en_us\/business\/products\/detection-response\/xdr.html\">XDR detection and response solution<\/a> for email, endpoint, server, and network security, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trendmicro.com\/en_us\/business\/products\/hybrid-cloud\/deep-security.html\">Deep Security<\/a> for cloud and data center security.
