Prominently featured on the new 14-inch Yoga Slim 9i laptop and optional on the 14-inch Yoga 9i convertible laptop – as a first on Lenovo consumer laptops – is an authentic black leather cover bonded with an aerospace-grade, aluminum chassis for more durability.

The Yoga Slim 9i

A special 20-step bonding process allows the leather to retain its original appearance with the natural imperfections that make each product unique. This handmade assembly process takes an incredible eye for detail and craftsmanship; each laptop cover is heat stamped with the Yoga logo, then a reflective gloss is applied to make it stand out. Just like any luxe leather good, the soft, organic exterior of these laptops begs to be touched, and to help ensure the highest standards of reliability, each is inspected and tested to withstand the everyday wear and tear under several conditions, including UV light exposure and tension, up to 3 kg of pulling force is applied to test durability.2 These quality materials are responsibly sourced by a leading leather developer behind many of today’s popular contemporary brands.

The Yoga 9i convertible is also offered in all-metal and multiple colors, including warm Mica on the 14-inch and Slate Grey on the 15-inch model.3

Premium Entertainment at Home or from Nearly Anywhere

The attractive 14-inch Yoga Slim 9i is one of our most premium, thinnest and lightest laptops at just 13.9mm (0.54 inches) and weighing only 1.26kg (2.77 lbs). To keep things cool to the touch, we added thermal venting holes on the underside of the keyboard, which lowers the device temperature by an average of two degrees Celsius over previous generation.5 We also increased the size of the hidden heat vent behind the Yoga 9i’s rotating hinge, while slimming down our fan blades, just a few examples of the purposeful details that allow you to accelerate the apps you use every day.

No matter if you go with the 14- or 15-inch model, you’re getting our best consumer features in a convertible. An encased Smart Sensor Touchpad provides vibrations when pressed to recreate the familiar feeling of a real click; this shift to haptic feedback allowed us to increase the touchpad’s clickable active surface area by nearly half and we’ve coated it with a fingerprint-resistant finish too, so you need not worry about unseemly smudges. And for a shortcut to more functionality in these times of repeated hand-sanitization or washing, appreciate the more accurate login of the new Ultrasonic Fingerprint Reader8 that’s liquid resistant and works even with damp or freshly sanitized fingers.9

The Yoga Slim 9i

Smarter Features add more Convenience

Flow seamlessly between work, entertainment, and passion projects a whole lot faster with smarter features. But when it’s time to get back to work or school, don’t forget that gaming laptops with dedicated graphics and Windows 10 can be used for more than just gaming. To give you the freedom to take your device wherever you need, we’re introducing the world’s lightest GeForce RTX gaming laptop17 available in a compact 15-inch size the new Lenovo Legion Slim 7i1 with up to 10th Gen Intel Core i9 HK-series mobile processor which allows for unlocked gamer tuning.18 Available in Slate Grey hue and made from aerospace-grade aluminum for its strength and extreme lightness, this finely-calibrated powerhouse gaming machine offers impressive frame rates and reduced load times.

With up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with Max-Q Design GPUs for real-time ray tracing, Lenovo engineers work closely with NVIDIA on Max-Q-configured laptops to develop new features that increase both performance and power optimization like Advanced Optimus19 technology that lets you manage system graphics by intuitively switching back and forth from integrated (for light workloads) and discrete graphics to dramatically extend battery life for max frame rates when gaming on models with Full HD panel option.

Historically, a laptop’s CPU and GPU have a predefined and fixed power budget regardless of the type of content being run. But with built-in Max-Q Dynamic Boost20 technology, it automatically enables real-time GPU and CPU power balancing, allowing your system to dynamically shift power from the CPU to the GPU during heavy-duty activities like gaming.20 By intelligently assessing your system’s power demand on a frame-by-frame basis, a power shift only happens when it’s needed, resulting in higher frame rates and smoother gaming for up to a 10 percent performance boost.20

Other NVIDIA supported features on the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i with up to GeForce RTX GPUs include enhanced DLSS 2.0 (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology, which uses AI to boost frame rates by up to two-times faster21 than the original while retaining a sharper image with half the pixels when ray tracing is enabled.

Games like a Pro, Stays Cool under Pressure

Less bulk at 17.9mm slim (.71 inches) and weighing just 1.86 kg (3.96 lbs) means more mobility aided by a 71WHr battery for up to 7.75hours of battery life22 and Rapid Charge Pro.23 To create thinner, lighter and more powerful gaming laptop designs every year, we continually optimize thermal performance via the smarter airflow solutions of Lenovo Legion Coldfront 2.0. With new machine-drilled holes applied above the keyboard, our redesigned air intake system is 31 percent larger on the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i to better manage any heat dissipated during heavy gameplay with up to 115 percent more airflow going to the CPU and GPU than in previous generations. Combined with an increased number of exhaust fan blades so it can grab and push more cool air, and a smarter 5-point sensor array that monitors the system to stay two steps ahead of any increased power demands, your cooling fans won’t get too loud to drown out the incredibly immersive sound of Dolby Atmos Speaker System with Sound Radar by Dolby, all set inside your laptop’s well-designed acoustics chamber to reduce rattling.

Be Battle Ready with Smarter Features

Bootup and log in with one click with an intuitive biometric Fingerprint Reader built into the power button, and for more privacy use the built-in Privacy Shutter on your new top-placed webcam. And because every gamer’s needs and wants are different, we offer up to 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (RAID 0) of storage6, up to 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 of memory, and multiple 15.6-inch screen options, including up to 4K IPS VESA DisplayHDR 400 with 100 percent Adobe RGB, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and 600 nits of brightness—ideal for streamers. Or, if you’re into eSports and would rather hit 144 frames per second (FPS) at 144Hz for less lag on a Full HD IPS display with 100 percent sRGB color gamut, the choice is entirely yours. All of our stunning visual displays offer expansive 85.6 percent screen viewing ratio and support Dolby Vision, which transforms entertainment through incredible brightness, contrast, color, and detail. When compared to a standard picture on PCs, Dolby Vision can deliver colors and highlights that are even brighter with darker blacks. The result is a refined, lifelike image that will make you forget you’re looking at a laptop screen.
