Video Collaboration is the New Norm
Not that long ago, most meetings were audio-based, possibly due to a technology hangover from voice only telephony-based systems and even the “I look terrible on video!” feeling. However, 2020 has highlighted the importance of maximizing employee engagement and fostering better synergies as a consequence of remote working challenges.

Video collaboration has therefore become a primary method of communication and as a result, audio and video technology in devices and meeting room systems are more important than ever. As we embrace flexible work schedules that will combine home and office, it is essential to equip both remote employees and physical meeting spaces with modernized solutions that will facilitate more natural interactions between people and devices.

ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook Enterprise includes an HD webcam, dual stereo speakers and dual microphones to help improve remote collaboration. Office spaces will also need to overcome hurdles to effective conferencing. For example, Google and Lenovo recently announced the Google Meet Series One room kits that provide AI and machine learning capabilities with excellent TrueVoice™ noise cancellation technology.

Outfitting office spaces with video collaboration solutions that are easy to deploy and use and providing remote workers with the right technology is a major step in offering effortless, intuitive and immersive video collaboration to empower people, wherever they are.

“The past few months have painfully highlighted the fundamental need for users to have access to technology that allows them to communicate and collaborate efficiently,” said Jerry Paradise, vice president, Commercial Portfolio, Lenovo PC and Smart Devices Group.

“Bringing to market Lenovo solutions built around the innovative Google Chrome and Google Cloud ecosystems is a major step in providing customers with flexible, agile and manageable offerings to ensure business resiliency in new hybrid working environments.”
