{"id":17494,"date":"2020-12-10T13:37:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-10T10:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/?p=17494"},"modified":"2026-03-27T19:56:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T16:56:48","slug":"bmw-group-middle-east-gears-up-for-the-upcoming-second-edition-of-battle-of-the-gamers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/bmw-group-middle-east-gears-up-for-the-upcoming-second-edition-of-battle-of-the-gamers\/","title":{"rendered":"BMW Group Middle East Gears Up for the Upcoming Second Edition of Battle of the Gamers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/ar\/?p=33644\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u0639\u0631\u0628\u064a<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Middle East gamers will have the opportunity to compete for a total prize pool of $50,000 and a $15,000 prize in the regional mobile tournament in the second edition of Battle of the Gamers.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>XX December 2020 \u2013 Dubai, United Arab Emirates:<\/strong>&nbsp;Following the success of Battle of the Gamers Season 1, BMW Group Middle East will be hosting the second edition of the competition across the Middle East in early 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BMW\u2019s Battle of the Gamers is the brand\u2019s local initiative to cultivate Middle Eastern Esports and drive it to the next level, offering a total prize pool of $50,000 (around Dhs183,600) across multiple games, comprising of a $15,000 (around Dhs55,050) pool set aside for the regional mobile tournament.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative is the first-of-its-kind within the region\u2019s automotive industry, bringing a world-renowned automotive brand and the ever-growing population of gamers in the Middle East together.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The core tournament will be held three days a week over three months across the GCC and Levant markets. Participants will compete in various games in their markets and battle for the top position in the local and regional finals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside the core tournament, a month-long mobile tournament aimed at gamers of all levels will run regionally. This event will be one of the largest mobile tournaments in the region with an impressive $15,000 grand prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to virtual tournaments, there will also be physical activations held across the region that gamers can participate in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lars Nielsen, BMW Sales and Marketing Director of BMW Group Middle East, said, \u201cFollowing the successful launch of Battle of the Gamers earlier this year, we are thrilled to reveal the second edition to gaming enthusiasts across the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEsports shows us how sports entertainment can continue to thrive and play a key role, especially considering today\u2019s challenges.
