The insights they generate will help the Government and their partners, such as Serco, deliver the services citizens and residents want. In an increasingly complex environment, the insights of the Serco Institute will help identify the innovations, ideas and issues that define government services now and in the future. Perhaps most central to the delivery of world-class government services is citizen experience. Through our user-centred design agency, ExperienceLab and now with the addition of the Serco Institute, KSA can benefit from both direct citizen insight, in addition to international public service expertise in designing the future of government services.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"761\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG.png\" alt=\"2 - Serco Institute Key Survey Stat (ENG)\" class=\"wp-image-21115\" srcset=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG.png 761w, https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/2-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG-300x130.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 761px) 100vw, 761px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The think tank\u2019s report,&nbsp;<em>Transformation, digitisation &amp; happiness: Public opinion on government services in Saudi Arabia,<\/em>&nbsp;is the first output from the Serco Institute in the region with a series of reports and research planned for release throughout the year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This report outlines findings that people are now more likely to access services digitally as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first-of-its-kind research also indicates that whilst people are largely happy with the current quality of KSA government services, they want them to be quicker, simpler and more transparent. All of which are a focus of the country\u2019s government services reform agenda, as set out in Vision 2030 and supported by various government agencies and initiatives, including the&nbsp;<em>YESSER e-government programme<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/1-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"535\" height=\"377\" src=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/1-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG.png\" alt=\"1 - Serco Institute Key Survey Stat (ENG)\" class=\"wp-image-21116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/1-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG.png 535w, https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/1-Serco-Institute-Key-Survey-Stat-ENG-300x211.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 535px) 100vw, 535px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A close relationship was also found between the happiness of residents and citizens, and the quality of government services.\u00a0 Commenting on the survey results on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzsprout.com\/1216004\/8059608-how-to-ensure-citizen-happiness-arabic-episode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Serco\u2019s podcast<\/a>,\u00a0<strong>Eng Basem Aljedai \u2013 CEO Government Innovation Center (Govx Hub)<\/strong>\u00a0said;\u00a0<em>\u201clooking at the survey results, we can see that\u00a0<strong>80% of respondents<\/strong>\u00a0feel their happiness is relative to the quality of government services. In order to achieve citizen happiness through these services, we have to look at the quality of the infrastructure. In the Kingdom, we are proud to say we have a strong infrastructure on which we can build strong services. Citizens and residents can easily access these services from anywhere in the world and have their applications processed remotely, raising the level of their happiness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central to the report\u2019s five recommendations is that the KSA Government is on the right path as they continue to transform government services. The report outlines that this should be done carefully, using service user insight, the support of the private sector and other external partners. This is particularly important, the research finds, due to the close relationship between government services, happiness and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Serco Institute Director Kate Steadman<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>said:&nbsp;<em>\u201cOur first-of-a-kind survey has found that citizens and residents are overwhelmingly happy with the quality of government services they are receiving \u2013 and the Government is on the right track when it comes to its focus on increasing digital access.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cUsers want quicker, simpler and more transparent services. With greater digital access, a focus on Vision 2030, and supported by the work of YESSER, government services are set to continue to evolve to meet the demands and appetites of Saudi Arabian citizens and residents.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey revealed that service users regard government services as&nbsp;<strong>digital (77%)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>attentive (72%)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>modern (79%)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>clear (77%)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>consistent (76%)<\/strong>&nbsp;in the information they provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She continued:<em>\u00a0\u201cHowever, our research also shows that the trust of citizens and residents is fragile, and with one bad experience they can lose faith in government services \u2013 which in turn also impacts their happiness. It is important, therefore, that the Saudi Arabian Government draws on all the insights and support possible as it continues its transformation agenda \u2013 from developing a deep understanding of
