With Ramadan underway, Twitter launched\u00a0\u062c\u0645\u0639\u0627\u062a_\u0631\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0646# (Ramadan Gatherings), a series of live audio conversations focused on reflections around key topics that arise during the holy month, as well as those which have taken center<\/strong> stage over the past year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In celebration of Ramadan, Twitter also launched three new hashtag triggered emojis across seven languages; English, Arabic, Malay, Thai, Indonesian, Hindi and Spanish. The&nbsp;\u062c\u0645\u0639\u0627\u062a_\u0631\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0646# (Ramadan Gatherings) hashtag unlocked a crescent emoji, in addition to&nbsp;the following Arabic and English hashtags:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u0631\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0646#<\/li><li>\u0631\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0646_\u0643\u0631\u064a\u0645#<\/li><li>\u0631\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0646_\u0645\u0628\u0627\u0631\u0643#<\/li><li>\u062c\u0645\u0639\u0627\u062a_\u0631\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0646#<\/li><li>#Ramadan<\/li><li>#RamadanKareem<\/li><li>#RamadanMubarak&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the span of five days, the sessions took place on&nbsp;<strong>Spaces<\/strong>, Twitter\u2019s new live audio conversations feature that is currently being tested and will become available to everyone soon. Each session covered a core pillar of reflection, including: \u201cKeeping Connected\u201d which discussed the importance of human connectivity during the current pandemic; \u201cRamadan Nights\u201d which delved into the world of creativity in music during Ramadan; \u201cAudio Literature\u201d which saw authors discuss their latest works, greatest inspirations, and writing processes; \u201cFood Waste\u201d which featured guests who talked about its impact and how to manage it during the holy month; and \u201cManaging Work-Life Balance\u201d, which saw women in the workforce share their learnings from the past year when it comes to work-life balance, in addition to balancing Ramadan and the family traditions that come alongside it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hosted by Twitter\u2019s Director of Media Partnerships in MEA &amp; Turkey and moderated by media personality Zeina Soufan, the guests included Saudi author Sultan Al-Mousa (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/almousa_su?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@almousa_su<\/a>); Kuwaiti novelist Abdul Wahab Al Refai (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/abdul_alrifaee?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@Abdul_Alrifaee<\/a>); Egyptian musician Mohamed Mohsen (<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/mohsen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@Mohsen<\/a>); Saudi Social &amp; Behavioral Sciences consultant Mohammed Alhajii (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/midoalhajji?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@MidoAlhajji<\/a>); Egyptian author Mirna El Helbawi (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mirna_elhelbawi?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@Mirna_elhelbawi<\/a>); Saudi content creator Hatoon Kadi (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hatoonkadi?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@HatoonKadi<\/a>); sports coach and health expert Dr Rayan Karkadan (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thedoctorrayan?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@thedoctorrayan<\/a>); communication specialist Muath Almusallam (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/muath_almosallm?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@muath_almosallm<\/a>); UAE film director Nahla Al Fahad (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nahlaalfahad?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@NahlaAlFahad<\/a>); Saudi pianist Daleen Khalid (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pianistdaleen?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@pianistdaleen<\/a>); Saudi media personality Sara Murad (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sara__murad?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@sara__murad<\/a>); UAE TV presenter Jasem Alsheheimi (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasimalsheheimi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@jasimalsheheimi<\/a>); Saudi pastry chef Abdulaziz Alhumedan (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aziz_h?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@aziz_h<\/a>); Kuwaiti influencer Rawan Bin Hussain (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rbinhussain?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@rbinhussain<\/a>); UAE content creator Abdullah Raesi (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/abdullah_raesi?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@Abdullah_Raesi<\/a>); and UAE pianist and opera singer Fatima Alhashmi (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fatialhashmi?lang=ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@FatiAlhashmi<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each session tapped into a themed pay it forward action, building on Ramadan\u2019s spirit of generosity. Following Keeping Connected one of the speakers Tweeted personalized uplifting messages to audience members, while a number of listeners from Ramadan Nights were treated to personalized musical pieces composed by one of the artists. Guests of Managing Work-Life Balance also had the opportunity to receive tips and tricks that one of the speakers successfully applied to maintain her own work\/life balance. Audio Literature listeners were introduced to the audiobook platform Storytel by the guest authors, while Food Waste listeners were treated to top tricks in eliminating their own food waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cTwitter is what\u2019s happening and what people are talking about right now. At a time of introspection, such as Ramadan, people take to the platform to discuss the topics that have influenced and impacted their lives and thinking.
