{"id":25854,"date":"2021-06-16T13:43:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-16T10:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/?p=25854"},"modified":"2026-03-27T22:41:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T19:41:10","slug":"mobily-selects-ericsson-to-enable-seamless-smartwatches-user-experience-in-saudi-arabia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saudishopper.com.sa\/en\/mobily-selects-ericsson-to-enable-seamless-smartwatches-user-experience-in-saudi-arabia\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobily selects Ericsson to enable seamless smartwatches user experience in Saudi Arabia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The support of mobile voice calls and mobile broadband on smart watches is now live on Mobily\u2019s network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia<\/li><li>Ericsson Secure Entitlement Server (SES) enables the capability on the Mobily network<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mobily and Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) have announced that smartwatch voice and data services are now live and enabled on the Mobily network across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, enabled by the Ericsson Secure Entitlement Server.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mobily launch allows consumers across the Kingdom to enjoy voice and data services independent of their smartphones using just their smartwatch or other wearable devices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ericsson Secure Entitlement Server supports the onboarding of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Wi-Fi calling, and data services for SIM and eSIM devices. It handles multiple authentication channels for a simplified and enhanced user experience, and an efficient orchestration of subscription profiles in the network.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration between Mobily and Ericsson is another milestone in the companies\u2019 relationship which began in 2005 and has since seen Ericsson provide Core, Radio, Managed Services and Business Support Systems (BSS) services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ericsson\u2019s deployment of the Secure Entitlement Server aligns with the key pillar of accelerating digital transformation in the Kingdom on the road to realize&nbsp;&nbsp;Saudi Arabia\u2019s Vision 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alaa Malki, Chief Technology Officer at Mobily, says: \u201cSince 2005, Mobily has successfully partnered with Ericsson on various products and services. By adding the capability to make calls using wearable devices independent of consumers\u2019 smart phones is another step forward in our aim to provide customers with innovations that add value to their day-to-day lives.
