This included topics such as illegal wildlife trafficking, the evolving challenges facing payment systems, insurance trends, global regulatory changes, political developments, and the banking and designated non-financial businesses and professions (DNFBPs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe conference provided valuable insights as financial crime continues to pose a significant global challenge. The panel covering the evolving challenges facing payment systems was exciting, highlighting the importance of being a step ahead of illicit activity. Therefore, financial institutions must embed effective programs to work hand in hand with peers, regulators, advisors, and law enforcement to tackle these issues,\u201d said Muzammil Ebrahim, Deloitte Middle East Financial Crime &amp; Data Analytics Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The symposium highlighted current trends in combatting financial crime, which depend on advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning. The discussions covered the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to implement robust enforcement mechanisms and ensure regulation compliance.
