“SMAC, also known as the third-platform, sees people everywhere become more connected through cloud computing, the Internet of Things, mobile technology and social media. It challenges traditional ways of working and demands that business management solution providers reinvent their platforms for a world of big data and digital technology,” said Mr. Anton Van Heerden – EVP Africa & Middle East for Sage.

“For instance, as workplaces transition to accommodate flexi-hours, BYOD policies, and a mobile workforce, business software solutions need to be accessible from anywhere, and through any mobile device. Our Sage X3 solution is architected to help customers across sectors and industries achieve the agility they need to compete effectively in a changing world.”

Sage has engineered the latest version of Sage X3 to provide the simpler, more agile, and more modular software platform organizations need to support their growth in a digital age. The software is designed to deliver the intuitive, attractive and mobile user experience that today’s managers and employees expect from a business application. Sage X3 also gives businesses more visibility into their businesses as well as powerful data analytics and reporting tools to support better business decisions.
Sage X3 is a versatile, scalable and web-based solution with specialized functionality for key verticals such as retail, manufacturing, resources and distribution. It integrates all functions of the business – including finance, sales, CRM, purchasing, warehousing and manufacturing – within a single software system and database. New components include a best-in-class HR solution, Sage X3 People, and Sage X3 for Construction.

Mr. Keith Fenner, Vice President – Sage Enterprise Africa and Middle East, said: “We look forward to meeting customers and prospective customers from the region to discuss the latest trends in business software. Some organizations, especially Small & Medium Businesses, mistakenly assume they do not need to invest in these technologies or business solutions. However, it is important for this sector to have correct and timely information that can help the company grow and maximize the opportunities of the SMAC era.”
