Amal AI Physician Assistant launched by Emirates Health Services in partnership with Boston Health AI across its UAE healthcare network. The platform debuted at World Health Exhibition Dubai 2026, which drew over 400,000 attendees. This marks the first multi-agent AI clinical intelligence system in the UAE public health sector.

Emirates Health Services introduced Amal at the event in Dubai. The AI avatar conducts conversational medical interviews with patients before clinical visits. It captures and structures patient histories into summaries for clinicians. Moreover, the booth at the EHS pavilion attracted leaders from over 40 countries and 200 institutions.

The platform supports patient intake in preferred languages. As a result, it reduces wait times and improves encounter quality. Clinicians receive actionable summaries, which lessen documentation burdens.

Patients benefit from empathetic interactions that ensure accurate history capture. Clinicians focus more on decision-making due to reduced cognitive load. Furthermore, health systems gain from standardized documentation and efficiency gains.

EHS aims to enhance sustainable healthcare delivery across the UAE. The initiative aligns with digital transformation efforts in the GCC region. Notably, Amal operates on UAE-hosted infrastructure with full data sovereignty and end-to-end encryption.

Boston Health AI developed the platform through physician-engineer collaboration. It relies on real clinical workflows and has served over 30,000 patients globally. All data complies with UAE healthcare regulations and stays within the country.

The system uses physician-grade reasoning for symptom synthesis. Consequently, it provides contextual summaries that aid clinical encounters. This deployment supports EHS objectives for scalable services.

UAE invests heavily in AI for healthcare amid regional digital shifts. Similar efforts appear in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 healthcare pillars. However, Amal represents a pioneering step in public sector AI adoption.

The partnership highlights growing GCC collaboration in health tech. International interest at WHX underscores potential for wider rollout. In addition, data-driven insights from Amal could inform policy.

EHS plans to expand Amal network-wide. Future updates may integrate more languages and analytics. Meanwhile, Boston Health AI continues refinements based on clinician feedback. This could set standards for AI in Middle East healthcare.
