HONOR described the platform as the core engine driving its transition from a smartphone manufacturer into a global AI device ecosystem company.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HONOR AI Connect Opens Core Capabilities to Partners<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upgraded HONOR AI Connect platform makes HONOR&#8217;s core AI capabilities available to all ecosystem partners. The company said this move goes beyond simple connectivity, targeting deep shared intelligence across a wide, multi-brand device ecosystem.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The platform enables a personal AI avatar \u2014 described as a digital twin \u2014 that lives across a user&#8217;s devices. This digital twin carries user intent from a smartphone to a connected car, <a href=\"\/category\/smart-devices\/\">smart home<\/a>, or service robot, enabling continuous and intelligent cross-device experiences.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Orange Partnership and New Device Categories<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, joined Philippe Lucas, Executive Vice President of Partnerships and Devices at Orange, for a discussion on the convergence of AI, devices, and connectivity. The session focused on the theme of &#8220;breaking walls&#8221; in closed device ecosystems.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HONOR stated its commitment to working with partners such as Orange to expand into new device categories. These categories include education, smart homes, audio products, pet technology, and gaming.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A &#8220;Cambrian Explosion&#8221; in AI Devices<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fang Fei used an evolutionary analogy to describe the current moment in the <a href=\"\/category\/mobile-devices\/\">mobile devices<\/a> industry. She said the sector is approaching a &#8220;Cambrian explosion&#8221; of AI hardware, referencing the prehistoric period that produced a rapid diversification of life forms.<\/p><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;In HONOR, we believe &#8216;walled gardens&#8217; should be a thing of the past. Our vision is simple. We want to combine our human-centric approach and technology to maximize every person&#8217;s potential. The first is the &#8220;disaggregation&#8221; of smart devices into specialized peripheral hardware for specific scenarios. The second is the &#8220;proliferation&#8221; of AI entry points, creating new interaction models tailored to real-world contexts.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HONOR Robot Phone and Magic V6 Unveiled<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HONOR presented the Robot Phone as a leading example of its augmented human intelligence concept. The device functions as a personal cameraman, automatically tracking and recording video to allow users to participate actively in their own experiences rather than operating a camera.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On March 1, one day before the MWC panel, HONOR held a formal launch event where it unveiled the HONOR Magic V6, described as an ultra-slim AI-powered foldable smartphone.
