TM Forum made the appointment public during an executive networking reception held alongside Mobile World Congress on March 11, 2026.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What the Agentic Interaction Security Initiative Covers<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative forms part of TM Forum&#8217;s broader AI-Native Blueprints program. It brings together telecommunications operators, technology vendors, and standards bodies to address the challenge of deploying <a href=\"\/category\/ai\/\">artificial intelligence<\/a> agents that can operate autonomously while remaining secure and interoperable by design. The program targets internal productivity systems, customer service platforms, and autonomous network operations.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industry Context: A Growing Security Gap<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A February 2026 Cyber Pulse Report from Microsoft found that more than 80 percent of Fortune 500 companies deploy active AI agents. However, only 47 percent of those companies have AI-specific safeguards in place. This gap has intensified pressure on the <a href=\"\/category\/telecom\/\">telecommunications<\/a> sector to establish robust, industry-aligned security frameworks before agentic AI adoption accelerates further.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cequence&#8217;s Specific Responsibilities as Co-Chair<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As co-chair, Cequence will contribute operational threat intelligence and focus on four areas. These include maintaining integrity standards for agentic connections \u2014 including MCP protocols \u2014 implementing real-time governance blueprints, defining operational resilience patterns, and coordinating between security practitioners, communication service providers (CSPs), and standards bodies.<\/p><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;As AI industrialises and the agent economy scales, agent-to-agent and agent-to-system interactions will grow exponentially \u2014 expanding the enterprise attack surface beyond anything we have seen before. The addition of Cequence as a member and co-chairing the Agentic Interaction Security Blueprint is a pivotal step in advancing our AI-Native Blueprint.
