The projects span multiple regions of the Kingdom and form part of the company&#8217;s ongoing work in the power transmission sector.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The substations are being built in collaboration with Saudi Electricity Company and National Grid Company. Global equipment partners Hitachi Energy and Siemens Energy are also involved in the projects.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Substation Locations Across the Kingdom<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The six facilities are distributed across three regions. In the Western Region, the &#8220;Jawharat Al Arous&#8221; and &#8220;Naqua&#8221; substations are under construction, along with a Riyadh substation. In the Eastern Region, three substations in Dammam are being built: &#8220;Al-Nasriyah,&#8221; &#8220;Al-Khaleej-2,&#8221; and &#8220;Al-Fayhaa.&#8221;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Turnkey Delivery Model<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each project follows a turnkey model covering engineering design, procurement, civil and electromechanical works, grid connection, and testing and commissioning. ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC said this model allows it to manage all project phases under a single delivery framework.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The substations use gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) and high-capacity power transformers. These technologies are intended to maintain operational reliability across the network.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High-Voltage Substations and Energy Demand<\/h2><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;These substations reflect our continued collaboration with National Grid, enhancing the reliability and flexibility of the energy system over the long term. They play a vital role in meeting the growing demand for electricity and supporting ongoing urban and industrial expansion, thereby strengthening overall system stability and sustainability.&#8221;<\/p><cite>Hesham Hegazy, CEO, ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC Power Systems Projects<\/cite><\/blockquote><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hegazy also said the company operates under a fully integrated turnkey delivery model, which he said demonstrates its ability to provide solutions across all project phases and reinforces its position as a partner in the <a href=\"\/category\/economy\/\">energy sector<\/a>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rabigh Reinforcement Project Also Underway<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the six substations, ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC is executing the Rabigh reinforcement combined cycle power project. This work falls under an agreement between Saudi Electricity Company and Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC).<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Rabigh project scope includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.
