Proceeding from its belief in the importance of protecting users’ data and raising the security standards of its devices to the highest levels, Huawei Saudi Arabia adopted new advanced security technology to protect the users of ‘HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’ devices, providing certified technologies for full hardware and software protection to complement Microsoft Windows Hello technology techniques such as fingerprint

Fingerprint Reader

HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’s fingerprint reader depends on using scanned images of the user’s finger to verify their identity and confirm their authorization to access and use the computer. Thanks to the fingerprint recognition application, a user can log in to apps and secure websites through a fingerprint scan instead of typing their credentials, which usually takes some time and can be, somehow, accessed by others.

Using a special app, Huawei ensured fingerprint data encryption that enables data decryption within fractions of a second to match the scanned fingerprint with the saved and encrypted data on HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’s memory. The fingerprint sensor complements perfectly Microsoft Windows Hello technology, ensuring no data can be accessed by the operating system or the certified apps.

Hideaway Camera

Throughout the past years, many users have experienced cyberattacks to spy on them by turning on their laptops’ cameras without their knowledge, leading some users to cover their laptops’ cameras with stickers due to the fear of being secretly filmed by hackers. Even though this method is useful, it is not a practical one and it greatly messes up the laptop’s exterior. Therefore, Huawei ensured making ‘HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’ the world’s first notebook with a recessed camera which discreetly sits on the keyboard instead of the top of the display – to activate it easily, all user needs to do is press it and it will pop up, ensuring higher levels of privacy by requesting the user’s permission to activate or remain hidden on the keyboard.

In addition to high-quality performance and beautiful design, Huawei ensured the placement of recessed camera on the keyboard to give great dimension of the FullView Display with thin bezels, offering the user with a unique viewing experience through the FullView Display – the first of its kind in the world of laptops. It has been designed to provide eye comfort and safety when looking at the screen for long hours as well as a special and entertaining viewing experience with an HD 13.9inch 3K 10-point touchscreen of a 3000 x 2000-pixel resolution and is set at a 3:2 aspect ratio, perfect for content creation.

‘HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’ the Best in its Category

The premium design of the “HUAWEI MateBook X Pro” is matched by its high-quality performance. Featuring a powerful 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5 processor and a discrete NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 GPU with 2GB GDDR5, it is one of the most powerful and lightweight notebooks on the market. “The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro” also features Dolby Atmos Sound System – breakthrough, immersive audio with Dolby Atmos and custom speakers. A 57.4Wh (Typical Capacity) battery and Huawei’s low power consumption design provide up to 12 hours of 1080P video playback, 14 hours of regular work or 15 hours of web browsing.
