These dimensions include macroeconomic factors, market competition, consumer readiness, public charging infrastructure, and total cost of ownership alongside regulation.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Global Electric Mobility Readiness Standings<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A score of 100 points in the study indicates broad market parity between electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles. Notably, China and Norway are the only two markets that scored above 100, reaching 106 and 103 points respectively. Singapore followed closely with 96 points, while the Netherlands achieved 90 points. Growth has accelerated across Europe, while developing economies such as T\u00fcrkiye, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Brazil are gaining momentum. These markets rely on varied combinations of vehicle affordability, infrastructure expansion, and national industrial policies. In addition, plug-in hybrid and range-extended vehicles continue to serve as interim solutions in several regions.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Beyond Vehicle Technology<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Competitiveness in the automotive sector has moved beyond standalone vehicle features. China sets the global benchmark by linking vehicle engineering, manufacturing scale, supply chains, software capabilities, charging networks, and regulatory incentives. The national fleet expanded with 857,000 new vehicles registered during 2025, marking a 3.6 percent increase compared to the previous year.
