Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has officially revealed the CEER EXOBOT electric vehicles, marking the debut of Saudi Arabia’s national automotive company. The announcement introduces electric sedan and SUV models designed, engineered, and manufactured within Saudi Arabia.

The launch reflects the Kingdom’s industrial strategy aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. Specifically, the initiative aims to strengthen the local manufacturing base while expanding presence in the global automotive industry.

Economic Impact and Production Plans for CEER EXOBOT

The sedan and SUV models represent the first entries in a planned portfolio of seven distinct vehicles. CEER intends to roll out these models over the next five years, covering midsize and compact segments with diverse propulsion options.

Manufacturing will take place at the CEER Manufacturing Complex, situated within King Salman Automotive Complex in King Abdullah Economic City. The facility stands as the largest automotive manufacturing plant in the region, equipped with modern production technologies.

Leadership Perspective on National Industry

During the event, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the broader role of the project in economic transformation:

“The launch of CEER’s first vehicles represents another step forward in Saudi Arabia’s progression to build a sustainable and prosperous industrial ecosystem. It further enables the automotive sector as a key driver of economic growth, through attracting investments, empowering national talent, and expanding the private sector’s role to further position Saudi Arabia to become a leading regional and global hub for this industry.”

Projected GDP Contribution and Growth

By 2034, CEER is projected to add 8 billion dollars, or over 30 billion Saudi riyals, directly to Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product. In addition, the operations are forecast to improve the national trade balance by approximately 21 billion dollars, exceeding 80 billion Saudi riyals.

The expanding production footprint will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs for local specialists in engineering and manufacturing across the economy.

Public Investment Fund Industrial Strategy

The Public Investment Fund launched CEER in 2022 as the Kingdom’s first domestic automotive brand. Furthermore, the development of the CEER EXOBOT models supports the fund’s mandate to diversify national revenue streams.

Through ongoing industrial investments and advanced smart devices integration, the initiative seeks to establish a competitive local supply chain while attracting international manufacturing partners.
