Huawei announced the launch of the HUAWEI nova 16s series in Saudi Arabia on October 13, 2026. The new device lineup carries a price point under SAR 3,000, bringing high-tier hardware configurations to mid-tier budgets. Customers can place pre-orders starting October 20 across local retail channels.
Hardware Specifications of the HUAWEI nova 16s Pro
The higher-tier model in the family is the nova 16s Pro, which features an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy mid-frame. It incorporates Kunlun Glass with a nanocrystal coating that delivers ten times higher drop resistance compared to standard glass. Despite these protective additions, the phone maintains a slim 7.1 mm body and weighs 218 grams.
Powering the hardware is a 7,000 mAh battery designed for sustained daily use. Users can recharge the battery rapidly using the included 100W wired SuperCharge Turbo system. The device features frosted glass on the rear, producing a tactile finish inspired by natural coastal patterns.
Advanced Camera Systems and Multispectral Calibration
Imaging capabilities represent a major element of the new mobile devices line. The Pro edition carries a 200 MP main camera with an RYYB sensor designed to increase light intake. In addition, front and rear True-to-Colour cameras work alongside dual 1.5 MP multispectral sensors to detect ambient color temperatures and correct shifting lighting tones.
Meanwhile, the standard edition offers a 50 MP portrait camera paired with the True-to-Colour camera setup. Both phones use integrated artificial intelligence editing tools directly inside the camera software. These built-in utilities allow photographers to edit raw snapshots into finished images without third-party photo software.
Software Distribution and Market Background
Software installation on the lineup relies on Huawei AppGallery, the vendor’s digital distribution portal. Users can download local and international mobile apps directly through this platform. The store hosts essential daily services alongside specialized productivity utilities.
According to figures released by Brand Finance, Huawei held the 31st position in the 2022 Global 500 index with a brand value of 44.3 billion dollars. The company invested over 23 billion dollars in research and development during 2023, representing 23.4 percent of its revenue. Over the last decade, total research spending exceeded 154 billion dollars.
