STEM Racing Learn has launched as a free digital learning resource developed in partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and mining company Maaden. The program connects young students directly with engineering professionals from both motorsport and resources sectors to expand access to technical training worldwide.

Structure and Curriculum of STEM Racing Learn

Available globally starting October 20, 2026, the initial rollout provides four dedicated instructional modules. These topics include an overview of competition fundamentals, career pathways in technical industries, the engineering design process, and computer-aided design workflows. In addition, organizers plan to introduce six more units in upcoming phases.

Each module incorporates recorded presentations from working engineers alongside interactive problem-solving tasks. As a result, participating students acquire foundational knowledge and transferable technical competencies suited for industrial work environments.

Addressing Global Technical Skills Shortages

The initiative arrives amid growing concerns regarding global technical labor supply. Specifically, independent research conducted by SThree and the Centre for Economics and Business Research indicates that 5.4 trillion dollars in economic output could face risks over the coming decade if technical talent pipelines fail to meet operational demands across the broader economy.

Consequently, the platform provides direct exposure to industrial disciplines without geographic restrictions. By removing subscription fees and regional barriers, the organizers seek to support long-term workforce development across multiple international markets.

Industrial Partners and Technical Objectives

For Maaden, the collaboration expands its corporate initiative designed to highlight technical expertise across the global mining industry. Meanwhile, the Aston Martin Aramco team contributes engineering practices derived directly from competitive Grand Prix racing operations.

“STEM Racing Learn enables you to learn at your own pace, exploring the subjects that interest you most and discovering how creativity, engineering, and innovation can come together to solve real-world challenges like the ones we face every day in Formula 1.”

Furthermore, leadership from Maaden emphasized that digital instruction provides practical preparation for changing industrial demands. Chief Executive Officer Bob Wilt stated that connecting students with active specialists provides critical exposure to career paths in modern resource extraction.

Long-Term Educational Reach and Expansion

STEM Racing operates student engineering challenges across more than 75 countries, guiding participants through miniature vehicle design, testing, and project management. In the automotive sector, the expanded digital curriculum ensures that students can access foundational coursework independently before participating in physical design competitions.
