FSR Redstone Brings Machine Learning to Gaming

AMD released its FSR Redstone features through the Adrenalin Edition 25.12.1 driver, introducing machine learning-powered upscaling and frame generation technologies. FSR Upscaling reconstructs high-resolution images from lower-resolution frames, while FSR Frame Generation creates intermediate frames for smoother gameplay.

The company also announced FSR Radiance Caching, which enhances ray tracing performance by predicting light behavior patterns. This technology reduces render time while maintaining visual fidelity, now available as a developer preview on GPUOpen.com.
