Image, Ericsson meets demand with NetCloud Private for customer control in Wireless WAN operations
Ericsson NetCloud Private has officially launched to provide cellular lifecycle management within customer-controlled environments, addressing regulatory and data sovereignty requirements for enterprise networks.
The platform enables organizations to host network management capabilities directly in local data centers or trusted national clouds. Consequently, sensitive telemetry and operational data remain entirely within private infrastructure rather than passing through public cloud environments.
Features of Ericsson NetCloud Private
Designed specifically for government agencies, public safety entities, and critical infrastructure operators, the platform manages distributed Ericsson Cradlepoint devices from a centralized console. Furthermore, the architecture simplifies onboarding, configuration, troubleshooting, and software updates across vehicle fleets and remote fixed sites.
The system operates with low compute, storage, and memory overhead, allowing seamless deployment in private data center facilities. In addition, the platform supports reliable cellular connectivity for operations in defense, transport, and smart devices ecosystems.

Regional Deployments Across the Gulf
Deployment of the platform is currently underway across the Gulf region, specifically in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. In Saudi Arabia, enterprise customers will host the software directly within their internal data centers to manage private operations.
Meanwhile, in the UAE, a communications service provider will host the system to serve multiple commercial enterprises. Ericsson confirmed that additional implementations across other regional markets are currently in progress.
Addressing Digital Sovereignty Demands
Industry research from Gartner projects that over 50% of multinational organizations will adopt a digital sovereignty strategy by 2029, compared to less than 10% in 2025. As regulatory frameworks tighten, organizations require strong cybersecurity and local compliance measures.
Ericsson NetCloud Private directly addresses these compliance challenges by maintaining full administrative visibility without sending telemetry outside local borders. The deployment supports advanced telecommunications standards while ensuring compliance with local governance rules.
Global Availability Schedule
Ericsson NetCloud Private will achieve general availability worldwide in October 2026. Regulated organizations and infrastructure operators will be able to procure the system to manage their wide-area cellular assets independently.
