The OMODA X crossover made its official global debut during the OMODA X NIGHT event at the International User Summit in China. The manufacturer positioned the vehicle in a cross off-road category, combining standard SUV utility with off-road capability and sports styling for drivers navigating between urban centers and outdoor trips.

The international event gathered media representatives and international guests to observe vehicle reveals and interactive testing sessions. In addition to vehicle demonstrations, the gathering highlighted the manufacturer’s technological roadmap for the automotive sector.

Design and Cabin Capabilities of the OMODA X crossover

The exterior features sculpted body panels, a wide stance, and lightning-inspired taillights. Inside, the OMODA X crossover incorporates the MECHA Command Cockpit, structured with a twin-wing layout and an X-shaped floating center console. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster operates alongside a 13.2-inch central touchscreen, supported by physical buttons for high-frequency settings like climate controls.

Cabin interaction centers on the Super Intelligent artificial intelligence Space, known as SIAS, which handles natural voice commands without wake words. Drivers can configure performance responses using the dedicated X-MODE setting. Furthermore, an infrared thermal-imaging system detects roadway hazards up to 90 meters away at night, while an integrated four-zone karaoke system functions without handheld microphones.

Technical Specifications and Outdoor Utility

Engineers built the vehicle to support diverse travel conditions. Specifically, the OMODA X crossover provides 200 mm of ground clearance and a designed wading depth exceeding 700 mm. For utility needs, the vehicle supports a towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg, a roof load limit of 75 kg, and 39 individual cabin storage spaces.

The launch event also highlighted international collaboration through the OMODA X Co-Creation Project. Participants from Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa, and Poland exhibited vehicle styling concepts influenced by regional design traditions.

Demonstrations of Super Intelligent Valet Parking

During the summit’s Super Intelligent Experience Lab, the company conducted field demonstrations of Super Intelligent Valet Parking, or SIVP. The feature was demonstrated across the JAECOO 5, JAECOO 7, and OMODA 7 models, showing automated pickup functions, navigation through tight bays, and active obstacle avoidance along set routes.

Company representatives noted that SIVP functions strictly as an assisted-driving system rather than autonomous driving. Consequently, the driver must monitor vehicle operations and prepare to take manual control at all times. Operation depends on stable network connectivity and designated enclosed parking structures.

Global Sales Figures and Regional Growth

The new product presentation coincided with expanding international distribution for OMODA & JAECOO. The company stated that it reached one million cumulative global vehicle sales over a three-year period, establishing operations across 79 markets in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East, including 23 European nations.

In regional markets, the manufacturer reported more than 6,000 cumulative vehicle sales in the United Arab Emirates, led by the JAECOO J7. Company officials stated that automated parking systems and connected smart devices have practical relevance for Gulf drivers facing high summer temperatures and crowded underground parking structures.
