These Terms govern your use of saudishopper.com.sa (the “Site”) operated by Saudi ICT Shopper News (“we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Who can use the Site

The Site is open to the general public for reading. Submitting press releases, signing in, or using restricted features requires an account and acceptance of these Terms. You must be 18 or older, or have parental consent if you are between 13 and 17. The Site is not intended for children under 13.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to break Saudi law or any applicable law in your country
  • Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or harmful
  • Attempt to access areas of the Site you are not authorized to access (admin, other users’ data, internal APIs)
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content except as permitted by robots.txt
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Site
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation (DoS, spam submission, abuse of forms)
  • Impersonate a person or organization, including misrepresenting affiliation
  • Submit malware, viruses, or any code designed to damage systems
  • Use the Site to send unsolicited commercial messages

We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these Terms without notice.

3. Press release submissions

If you submit a press release through the Site (via web form, email ingestion, or any other channel), you represent and warrant that:

  • You are authorized by the originating organization to submit it for publication
  • The content is original or properly licensed; you hold all necessary rights to images, logos, and quoted material
  • The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and not misleading
  • It does not violate any third-party right (privacy, IP, contract, NDA)

You grant Saudi ICT Shopper News a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable license to publish, edit, translate, format, archive, and republish the submitted content (including attached images) on the Site and on our social channels and through syndication partners, in any media now known or later developed, in connection with the editorial purposes of the Site.

We may reject, edit, shorten, or refuse to publish any submission at our sole editorial discretion. Editorial decisions are governed by our Editorial Standards.

4. Our content

All editorial content on the Site — articles, headlines, images we generate or license, layout, code — is owned by Saudi ICT Shopper News or our licensors and is protected by Saudi and international copyright and trademark law.

You may:

  • Read, view, and share links to articles for personal and non-commercial use
  • Quote short excerpts under fair-use principles for commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, or research, with attribution and a link back to the original article
  • Use our RSS feed (if available) under its published terms

You may not, without prior written permission:

  • Republish full articles on another site
  • Use our articles to train machine-learning models (see Section 8)
  • Use our logos, brand, or visual identity
  • Aggregate our content for commercial syndication

5. User-generated content (comments, etc.)

If the Site allows comments, forum posts, or any other user-generated content, you remain the owner of what you post but grant us a non-exclusive license to display, moderate, edit, and remove it. You are solely responsible for what you post. We may moderate, remove, or refuse to publish any user-generated content at our discretion.

6. Third-party content

Articles may contain embeds, links, or quotes from third parties (X, YouTube, official statements, etc.). We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content. Links and embeds are governed by our Cookie Policy and the relevant third-party terms.

7. Advertising and sponsored content

8. AI-assisted publishing

Articles on the Site are drafted with the assistance of AI systems and reviewed by human editors. See our AI Use Disclosure.

You may not use the Site or its content to train AI models without our prior written permission. Automated extraction by AI crawlers is regulated through our robots.txt and the IETF “AI preferences” headers we set on our HTTP responses; you must respect both.

9. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saudi ICT Shopper News disclaims all warranties — express, implied, statutory — including merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of content.

We make reasonable efforts to publish accurate news but do not warrant that articles are error-free or current. Always verify time-sensitive information against primary sources.

We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages may occur.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Saudi law, in no event shall Saudi ICT Shopper News, its directors, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed one hundred Saudi Riyals (SAR 100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Saudi law (e.g. liability for fraud or gross negligence).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saudi ICT Shopper News from any claim, demand, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) content you submit; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; (d) misuse of the Site.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

13. Changes to the Site or these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Site, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may update these Terms; material changes will be flagged on the homepage with at least 14 days’ notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA/UK, this clause does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections under your local law.
