Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SPARK) has launched a new AI industrial accelerator during the AI Everything Abu Dhabi event. The initiative introduces a global platform aimed at attracting and expanding high-potential industrial firms powered by artificial intelligence. SPARK designed the program under the theme “Towards the Super Intelligence Era” to move advanced research algorithms into commercial systems.

Structure of the AI Industrial Accelerator

The accelerator operates through a twin-track global model designed for varied enterprise stages. Specifically, the first track invites established technology companies, industrial leaders, and commercial scale-ups. Meanwhile, an international open call invites emerging startups, research spin-outs, and production ventures to enter the regional economy.

Participating businesses will secure access to advanced industrial testbeds, fabrication laboratories, and specialized facilities. SPARK confirmed that admitted firms will also receive corporate licensing guidance, technical mentorship, and direct connections to regional investors.

Target Sectors and Evaluation Metrics

The program focuses on several key technological disciplines across traditional and emerging sectors. Priority areas include advanced manufacturing, robotics, healthcare, life sciences, sustainability, water technologies, and food systems. Furthermore, the initiative targets autonomous systems and smart mobility solutions.

Officials will evaluate applicants based on technology strength, industrial viability, scalability, and intellectual property value. In addition, the evaluation team reviews overall leadership capability alongside regional deployment potential.

“Today, the global conversation is moving towards what some are beginning to describe as the era of Super Intelligence. But the most important question is not what we call the technology. The question is: how do we turn intelligence into industry?”

Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SPARK

Financial Grants and Research Facilities

SPARK announced direct financial rewards for high-performing participants in the program. Consequently, the top three selected companies will receive cash prizes of US$50,000, US$30,000, and US$20,000 respectively, alongside partnership opportunities.

Every business selected for the AI industrial accelerator will access specialized research units across the campus. These dedicated facilities include SOILAB, the Water R&D and Innovation Hub, the Agriculture and Food Lab, and the Mobility and Logistics Hub.

Global Commercial Expansion

Through the AI industrial accelerator, SPARK is creating an operational path from initial prototypes to full-scale manufacturing. Technology partners, academic institutions, and global investors have been invited to participate, allowing industrial solutions to scale effectively from Sharjah to international markets.
