New Saudi startup Tiswa has opened the waitlist for its student verification platform ahead of its planned App Store release in November 2026. Founded in Jeddah by Sami Fathi and Abdulaziz Albanawi, the company provides verified academic identities for university students in the Kingdom. Furthermore, the application will be free for all registered university attendees.

Saudi Arabia has a notably young demographic, with 63 percent of citizens under the age of 30. In addition, more than 1.5 million students are currently enrolled in higher education programs across the nation. Young citizens represent an important focus area within Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives.

Addressing Verification Gaps for Young Citizens

Historically, higher education attendees in the country have faced difficulties when attempting to prove their academic status to commercial retailers. Many international discount programs were not tailored for universities in the Kingdom or local linguistic requirements. Consequently, commercial brands seeking to offer specialized academic pricing lacked a dependable system to validate consumer enrollment.

To resolve these challenges, Tiswa directly confirms active enrollment records with participating educational institutions. The service subsequently generates a secure digital credential that universities and commercial partners can accept without manual paperwork.

A Digital Pass for Commercial Discounts

Users complete the registration and validation process once through the native mobile application. Each registered account connects to a single mobile device, preventing unauthorized sharing or duplicate credential generation. In addition, the software issues a live digital student pass that unlocks lower pricing both online and at retail stores near campuses.

Commercial partners confirmed for the initial launch phase include Apple, Samsung, Adobe, Spotify, H&M, and noon. Local retailers in Saudi Arabia will also offer dedicated savings through the platform. Meanwhile, retail brands collaborate with the service to reach confirmed learners, while universities help extend verified discounts directly to their enrolled student bodies.

A Unified System for student verification

Built entirely in Jeddah, the system supports both Arabic and English interfaces to match regional user habits. The development team prioritized secure identity validation while maintaining straightforward navigation for students across major academic disciplines. Specifically, the company aims to establish a trusted standard for student verification that aligns student needs, brand incentives, and institutional oversight.

Platform Availability and Access Details

Tiswa will launch publicly on Apple’s App Store in November 2026. Prospective users can currently join the early registration waitlist online to secure early access prior to the broad public release. As digital identity tools continue to expand across higher education, the startup plans to maintain focus on domestic academic institutions.
