OMODA & JAECOO showcased its latest OMODA hybrid vehicle technology and the global debut of the OMODA X concept during its International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The event gathered vehicle owners and international media to review mechanical systems, real-world driving results, and intelligent control platforms ahead of regional market releases.
The company continues to develop its footprint across the Middle East. Through rapid distribution of automotive options in the Gulf, the manufacturer is preparing to introduce additional electrified models to drivers in the United Arab Emirates.
Debut of the OMODA X Concept
During the summit’s evening showcase, the group revealed the OMODA X concept car. The company categorizes the model as a Cross Off-Road Vehicle that combines sports-car exterior styling with practical SUV cabin space and off-road mechanical capabilities.
Participants from Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa, and Poland submitted vehicle modification concepts tailored to local driving demands. These design proposals included outdoor adventure gear, artistic exterior accents, and regional functional setups, demonstrating various practical applications for the platform.
Testing the OMODA hybrid vehicle Platform
Engineers also detailed the new 5-kWh hybrid electric vehicle powertrain. This setup incorporates Super Quiet Mode and Super Life operational features, which are designed to lower cabin noise, minimize engine vibration, and increase battery durability under daily driving loads.
During the two-day Super Hybrid Marathon across China, vehicles completed tests spanning city streets, open highways, and mountain roads with active climate control. Under these conditions, the OMODA 5 NEXT SHS-H recorded fuel consumption of 4.5 litres per 100km and delivered a single-tank driving range of 1,015km. Meanwhile, the OMODA 7 SHS-H served as an external power supply via its vehicle-to-load feature to operate electrical equipment during an outdoor event.
Intelligent Valet Parking Demonstrations
Beyond powertrain engineering, the automaker presented its Super Intelligent Valet Parking system at its research testing laboratory. The software guided test cars through crowded terminal layouts, multi-level structures, and complex navigational routes to demonstrate automated retrieval without direct manual intervention.
These technical systems rely on connected smart devices and automated sensors to assist drivers during congested garage parking. According to company figures, cumulative global deliveries have surpassed 1.4 million units across 79 countries, including 23 markets in Europe.
UAE Commercial Expansion
OMODA & JAECOO exceeded 6,000 cumulative deliveries in the UAE market by September 2026. The local lineup currently features the JAECOO J7 SHS, JAECOO J8 SHS plug-in hybrid models, the OMODA C7 SHS, and the recently introduced OMODA O5 SHS-H.
Regional dealerships plan to launch the OMODA 7 SHS-H in early 2027 to expand customer access to the new OMODA hybrid vehicle architecture. Furthermore, the automated valet system will arrive in UAE distribution centers alongside broader service center investments across the country.
