Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud received a delegation from the Chefs Carnival Club at the Saudi Embassy in Amman. The diplomatic reception coincided with Saudi National Day celebrations and the group’s official participation in the Knights and Heroines of Peace Conference held in Jordan.
Diplomatic Welcome and Cultural Representation
The ambassador welcomed members of the delegation and expressed support for their efforts to represent the Saudi culinary community. The meeting highlighted the role of national professionals in presenting cultural traditions across regional and international events.
During their mission in Jordan, the delegates presented traditional culinary practices alongside regional attire and Arab hospitality customs. These presentations formed part of the wider cultural activities connected to the tourism and hospitality sector.
The Chefs Carnival Club Gifts and Heritage Crafts
During the official reception, the Chefs Carnival Club delegation presented two commemorative shields reflecting cultural craftsmanship and heritage. Fashion designer Reem Assilan presented the Hijazi Bride shield, which depicts the traditional Al-Zaboun dress.
The craftwork on the shield required 12 hours of design and programming followed by 5 hours and 38 minutes of machine execution. In total, the piece contains 163,677 embroidery stitches to recreate the historical textile patterns accurately.
Symbolic Recognition of Religious Heritage
The delegation presented a second commemorative piece titled the Kaaba Gate shield. This gift marked the Kingdom’s role in serving the Two Holy Mosques and hosting pilgrims from around the world.
The presentation demonstrated the connection between national identity, religious stewardship, and cultural expression in diplomatic forums.
Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 Goals
Dr. Hwaida Jammal Al-Lail, leader of the Chefs Carnival Club, expressed appreciation to the ambassador for the embassy reception in Amman. She noted that the diplomatic engagement supports the team’s ongoing participation in international forums.
The delegation affirmed its commitment to promoting cultural identity abroad in alignment with the developmental targets of Saudi Vision 2030. Furthermore, the club continues its participation in the ongoing peace conference schedule in Jordan.
