LG Channels has expanded its global lineup to more than 5,000 free ad-supported streaming channels following its rollout in Poland. The streaming platform now operates across 37 countries, offering regionally curated content spanning news, movies, sports, and lifestyle programming.
Viewer engagement on the platform grew significantly over the past year. Monthly active users increased by 30 percent year-over-year, while total annual viewing time rose by 45 percent worldwide.
Expanding LG Channels in Europe and Latin America
The European footprint of the service now covers 17 countries, supported by partnerships with European media groups such as Sky, Banijay, and BBC Studios. In Poland, the service added dedicated Korean content channels, including @K-MUSIC and NEW KFOOD, through a collaboration with NEW ID.
Meanwhile, expansion across Latin America includes six active markets: Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Argentina. In Brazil, the platform integrated CazéTV, a sports channel created by Casimiro Miguel and LiveMode, bringing sports programming to 10 percent of its local lineup on smart devices.
Exclusive Content and Regional Strategies
In North America, the network introduced original programming including the cooking show ALL CHEWED UP, which features over 110 episodes. The service also launched LG Channels World Pup, a tournament-style puppy soccer series featuring shelter rescue dogs, expanding its presence in gaming & entertainment formats.
In India, the lineup exceeded 150 channels under a localized content initiative focused on Bollywood films and regional languages. In addition, the Taiwan catalogue added popular local dramas and digital programs alongside curated marathon feeds.
Platform Updates and Technical Recognition
LG Electronics is integrating proprietary AI algorithms to improve personalized recommendations and search across the webOS interface. These software updates earned the service the New Technology Award at the 2026 Global OTT Awards in Busan.
“We will continue strengthening content competitiveness and expanding our global ecosystem so that audiences across regions can enjoy locally relevant content on LG Channels in more countries worldwide.”
