Teams competing in the Red Bull Gym Clash national qualifiers have determined the four athletes who will represent Saudi Arabia at the upcoming international championship in Egypt. The qualification events took place across two locations, concluding on 16 October in Jeddah after an opening stage held in Riyadh on 9 October.
Specifically, the Riyadh qualifiers were held at the Oxygen facility, while the Jeddah leg took place at Arena Fitness. As a result of both events, Interval Plus secured the women’s qualifying position in Riyadh, and The Hive claimed the men’s qualification slot in Jeddah.
Qualifying Results from Riyadh and Jeddah
In the Riyadh rounds, Interval Plus emerged as the top squad in the women’s category, while Oxygen achieved first place in the men’s category. Meanwhile, Jeddah participants delivered strong results across both divisions at Arena Fitness. The Hive secured the men’s qualifying place in Jeddah, whereas Core took the women’s category.
Consequently, organizers confirmed that Interval Plus from Riyadh and The Hive from Jeddah will form the national team for the championship. The collective group comprises two female and two male athletes who will travel to Egypt to compete on behalf of the Kingdom.
Structure of the Red Bull Gym Clash
Unlike traditional fitness events that center on individual contenders, the Red Bull Gym Clash format requires gyms to field unified squads. Each participating gym enters a roster of four athletes, composed of two women and two men. Furthermore, modern fitness culture frequently connects training regimens with wearable smart devices to monitor performance across various disciplines.
The competition includes three distinct workout stages designed by professional athletes. In addition, the Power stage evaluates pure lifting capability under heavy resistance. The Skill stage tests balance, movement control, and agility under time pressure. Finally, the Endurance stage combines high-intensity interval actions with collaborative team requirements.
Preparation for the World Final in Egypt
The qualified Saudi contingent will face teams from 28 countries at the World Final in Egypt. Athletes in this upcoming stage will compete directly for the title of the Greatest Gym on Earth. Moreover, participants must maintain consistent execution and tactical cooperation throughout each workout segment.
In addition, national fitness initiatives align closely with broader wellness goals across health tech sectors. The national qualifiers in Riyadh and Jeddah highlighted sustained preparation, mutual discipline, and collective strategy among local training clubs.
Growth of Competitive Training in Saudi Arabia
Local fitness centers continue to expand their participation in international tournaments, drawing interest from commercial partners and fitness fans across the Kingdom. Furthermore, fitness tracking platforms and connected apps have enabled gyms to coordinate workout schedules with greater precision. As a result, commercial fitness institutions in Riyadh and Jeddah are positioning their teams to test their capabilities against global standards.
The upcoming World Final in Egypt presents an opportunity for Saudi representatives to demonstrate their training against international peers. The Red Bull Gym Clash event concludes its annual tour as national delegations finalize their preparations for the gathering in Egypt.
