Zain KSA CSR Gold Award
Telecommunications provider Zain KSA secured the Zain KSA CSR award for the third consecutive year at the Global CSR Forum 2026. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development organized the event, where the operator served as the official digital sponsor. This honor highlights the company’s systematic integration of sustainable practices across its operational investments, service design, and infrastructure development.
Expansion of Digital Reach Across Villages
In its effort to foster digital inclusion, the operator expanded service coverage to 2,448 villages and hamlets throughout Saudi Arabia. In addition, the company supported digital skills development through its Wa’ad program, reaching more than 207,000 beneficiaries nationwide. These educational and capacity-building tracks provide essential training for citizens entering the modern workforce.
During 2026, the company broadened community accessibility by partnering with the Saudi Association for Hearing Impairment. Specifically, this initiative enhances digital content access and tailored telecom services for individuals with hearing disabilities across the Kingdom.
Recognition for the Zain KSA CSR Award
The evaluation committee highlighted the operator’s 2025 Sustainability Report, published under the theme “Empowering a Smart and Sustainable World.” Consequently, the winning of the Zain KSA CSR award underscores measurable progress across environmental, social, innovation, and governance pillars. The framework supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals while contributing directly to national economic objectives.
“Winning the CSR award for the third consecutive year reflects our commitment to making social responsibility and sustainability an integral part of how we operate, invest, and build partnerships. It also reflects how we measure progress by the tangible impact we create for society, the environment, and the digital economy.”
Eman AlSaidi, Vice President of Corporate Communications at Zain KSA
Energy Efficiency and Infrastructure Upgrades
On the environmental front, the company implemented significant upgrades across its network infrastructure during 2025. The operator converted 51 additional sites to hybrid solar energy systems and connected 231 diesel-powered stations directly to the commercial electrical grid. As a result, fuel consumption dropped by 13.2 percent compared with the previous operational year.
Furthermore, the operator deployed Saudi Arabia’s first carbon-neutral EcoFusion site in 2026 using 5G-Advanced connectivity. This installation cuts base energy consumption by 33.1 percent, with an extra 8 percent reduction achieved through integrated renewable power generation.
Alignment with National Transformation Goals
The long-term framework established under the Zain KSA CSR award initiative connects directly to the digital and economic targets of Saudi Vision 2030. By deploying advanced network technologies and apps, the company creates sustainable value for local communities and strengthens the broader economy.
