HAVELSAN EYEMINER has been deployed to support real-time monitoring and incident verification during large-scale public events. Developed by Turkish defense and technology firm HAVELSAN, the software connects with existing camera networks of diverse makes and models. The platform functions as an artificial intelligence video analytics tool that enables surveillance teams to search recorded footage, identify missing individuals, and track movement patterns across monitored zones.
Core Capabilities of HAVELSAN EYEMINER
The video platform assists surveillance teams by processing live footage to recognize people, vehicles, and distinct objects. Security operators can configure the system for specialized surveillance tasks, including automated weapon detection and licence plate recognition. Furthermore, the software provides photo-based search tools that help security personnel determine when specific individuals passed through monitored facilities.
During operational activities, the system establishes detailed route histories by evaluating recorded video material. These timeline records offer essential data during missing-person searches, allowing emergency teams to locate lost individuals rapidly. In addition, the system verifies critical incidents by analyzing both stored archive files and active camera feeds simultaneously.

Operational Deployment at TEKNOFEST
HAVELSAN deployed these capabilities during the southeastern edition of TEKNOFEST, held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. Technical teams connected the EYEMINER Video Management System, the EYEMINER Video Analytics System, and EYEMINER Gözcü directly into the venue’s active camera network. On-site network video recorders supported local recording tasks, ensuring video retention for cybersecurity teams and airport crisis units.
Live video transmissions flowed from airport cameras directly to the TEKNOFEST Crisis Centre to guide rapid response operations. Following reports of missing children during the technology festival, staff uploaded photographs of the children into the surveillance system. Crisis Centre teams then searched recorded footage to reconstruct the exact routes the children took and pinpoint when they passed monitored airport gates.
Object Detection and Hardware Versatility
Surveillance feeds connected to the platform detected people, moving vehicles, and individual faces across airport concourses. The system also identified specific personal items and accessories, including people wearing hats or carrying travel bags. Meanwhile, technical staff configured active alerts for unauthorized weapons and incoming vehicle licence plates to secure airport access points.
The airport deployment confirmed that HAVELSAN EYEMINER adapts quickly to different analytics tasks without requiring physical camera upgrades. Event organizers enhanced their visual security infrastructure by integrating advanced software into their legacy video recorders. Consequently, the demonstration provides an operational model for large public gatherings seeking modernized monitoring capabilities.
School Security Pilot Program
Building on the festival deployment, HAVELSAN signed a formal cooperation protocol with the Şanlıurfa Governor’s Office in Türkiye. Under this agreement, HAVELSAN EYEMINER will serve as an early warning monitoring tool designed to improve safety across regional education facilities.
“The first pilot has begun at a school in central Şanlıurfa.”
Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar, CEO of HAVELSAN
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, HAVELSAN CEO Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar stated that the project focuses on detecting suspicious behavior automatically. The pilot evaluates automated risk detection routines and delivers instant security notifications to school administrators and regional law enforcement teams.
