The Model Context Protocol integration announced by eXp Realty allows real estate professionals to link their daily business records directly with commercial conversational tools. Unveiled at the eXpcon event in Salt Lake City, the initiative enables agents to query internal sales records, leads, and transaction files using third-party systems like ChatGPT and Claude without switching between separate windows.

The announcement served as the primary element in a four-part product release. Alongside the protocol deployment, the brokerage introduced a mortgage joint venture with Newrez, a home preparation financing program offering up to $50,000 with payment deferred until closing, and a peer network designed for agent-to-agent showing coverage.

Adoption of Model Context Protocol

Rather than developing an internal proprietary assistant, the brokerage chose an open technical standard. By relying on the Model Context Protocol, the firm avoids building a closed software assistant and instead provides direct data pipes to external systems. Once an agent authorizes access, outside artificial intelligence platforms can pull live production metrics and training progress on demand.

“Every company in this industry is racing to build the best AI assistant. We asked a different question: Why should agents have to change how they work at all? ‘MCP First, AI of Choice’ means agents keep using the AI they already trust. We’re making sure it can hear from eXp.”

Integrated Systems and External Software

At launch, the direct connection supports multiple proprietary portals, including the Hub, My eXp production records, and eXp University. In addition, the integration supports external design services on Canva alongside customer relationship management tools like Lofty, BoldTrail, and Cloze. Planned updates will incorporate Follow Up Boss and Sisu.

Because the framework relies on external consumer tools, agents receive automatic capability improvements whenever foundation research labs publish updated model versions. Consequently, users avoid waiting on brokerage development cycles to access newer apps & software functionalities.

Development of the AGNT OS Architecture

Leadership noted that the open Model Context Protocol acts as an initial entry point to broader software overhauls planned across global operations. The overarching initiative, known as AGNT OS, redesigns the operational infrastructure that handles deal closings and agent commissions, targeting full deployment in early 2027.

“MCP is the front door, and AGNT OS is the whole house. This isn’t a patch on our existing systems; it’s a full modernization of how eXp runs, built agent-first from the ground up. MCP is how we prove that vision starts now.”

International Rollout and Software Consolidation

The underlying technical structure builds upon Nexus, a consolidated platform created by eXp International. Nexus combines transaction management, listings, digital signatures, marketing, and recruitment under a unified interface designed for cross-border economy & business compliance.

The international division operates across 26 countries outside the United States and Canada. Company representatives stated that replacing disparate local software licenses with the unified platform can reduce software expenses by up to 70 percent in individual markets.

“What I built looked like Frankenstein and didn’t work at all. But it was the origin story of Nexus.”

Felix Bravo, Managing Director of eXp International

Currently operating in beta following Latin American tests, Nexus is accessible via the Hub. Rollout plans include pilot stages, multi-country deployment, and eventual subscription access for external real estate firms, alongside open application programming interfaces for custom development.
