The all-new Nissan Navara Pro has been introduced for global markets as part of the carmaker’s international growth strategy. Developed and manufactured in China through the Zhengzhou Nissan joint venture, the vehicle represents Nissan’s first model produced in China for worldwide export. Sales commence in October 2026 in Mexico under the Frontier Pro nameplate, followed by rollouts in Latin America and the Middle East before the end of the year.

Global Expansion of Nissan Navara Pro

Nissan plans to expand distribution across multiple regions following the initial launch. The pickup arrives in the Philippines in November 2026, while right-hand drive markets such as Australia and New Zealand will receive the model in 2027. Consequently, the company connects Chinese manufacturing speed with international engineering standards to serve commercial and personal vehicle segments in emerging automotive sectors.

Engine Options and Regional Specifications

Different markets will receive distinct powertrain configurations based on local requirements. In the Middle East, the Nissan Navara Pro offers two internal combustion engine choices designed for varied driving conditions. Specifically, customers can select a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 244 hp and 400 Nm of torque, matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, a 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine delivers 141 hp and 400 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

“Frontier Pro / Navara Pro shows what happens when innovative thinking is turned into real-world capability. By combining advanced technology, impressive performance and Nissan’s renowned quality and durability, we have created a pickup that reflects Nissan’s Dare Beyond ambition, challenging expectations while remaining practical for everyday life.”

Electrified Powertrains and Technology

For select regions outside the Middle East, including Latin America, ASEAN, and Oceania, Nissan provides 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid electric variants. Notably, this setup marks Nissan’s first electrified system on a pickup truck. The hybrid version includes Vehicle-to-Load capability, allowing operators to supply electricity directly to external tools and equipment. Meanwhile, the five-seat cabin incorporates updated digital displays and onboard comfort controls compatible with modern smart devices.

Historical Context and Commercial Reach

The introduction of the pickup builds upon a heritage that began with the Type 13 truck in 1934. Since then, the manufacturer has delivered more than 15 million pickups across 140 countries over a span of nine decades. Furthermore, this international release supports industrial trade ties and cross-border commercial transport, impacting regional economy sectors that rely heavily on durable light utility fleets.
