The opening of the new Bloomberg KAFD office marks an expansion of the company’s long-term presence in Saudi Arabia. Located in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, the facility supports ongoing investments across the local financial sector. The global financial information provider has operated in the country since 2007, serving commercial banks, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, and government entities.

Expansion of the Bloomberg KAFD Office

The new base in the capital enables closer collaboration with regional financial institutions and local market participants. Specifically, the expansion aligns with national transformation targets under Saudi Vision 2030. Leadership confirmed that the kingdom represents an active, developing market where financial infrastructure continues to grow rapidly.

“Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-evolving financial markets, and we are deepening our long-term commitment to the Kingdom. Opening our new office in KAFD is an important milestone for Bloomberg, and we’re proud to mark it today alongside our partners. It allows us to work even more closely with our clients as we continue to invest in Saudi Arabia’s growth.”

Jean-Paul Zammitt, President of Bloomberg

Financial Training and Skills Development

Alongside the physical expansion, Bloomberg launched the Bloomberg Finance Lab and Bloomberg Finance Pathways initiatives in the kingdom. These programs build directly upon a Memorandum of Understanding signed with The Financial Academy in October 2025. Consequently, these programs focus on building specialized market capabilities within the domestic workforce through targeted education and training programs.

Community Initiatives and Social Partnerships

Community investments extend beyond corporate operations through targeted local partnerships. Bloomberg announced a collaboration with Turquoise Mountain, a cultural heritage organization operating in Saudi Arabia since 2015. This initiative works with local artisans, primarily women, to preserve traditional crafts and build practical business skills across the local economy and business sector.

Additionally, the company established a new Collaboration Fund with Synergos, a global non-profit organization. This initiative supports Saudi social entrepreneurs through joint projects and structured capacity building. The program focuses on advancing entrepreneurship and social innovation in coordination with the Human Capability Development Program.

Terminal Product Expo and Technology Showcase

To commemorate the opening, Bloomberg hosted a Terminal Product Expo for clients and industry stakeholders. The event provided an operational preview of the latest market data, analytics tools, and financial apps and software solutions. Staff demonstrated how financial professionals can analyze real-time data to monitor market activity.

These combined initiatives reflect the next phase of the Bloomberg KAFD office operations. By combining dedicated client services with talent development, the organization aims to support the long-term goals of the Financial Sector Development Program.
