Lucid Group has officially launched Air UX 3.0, delivering a comprehensive software update designed to enhance digital controls across the Lucid Air electric vehicles lineup. The software release arrives as part of Software Version 2.11.0, introducing an updated user interface inspired by the design language of the Lucid Gravity SUV.

New Features in Air UX 3.0

The updated operating system introduces a redesigned Home layout on the Left Cockpit Panel, incorporating customizable and swipeable cards for frequently used actions. Drivers can easily manage media playback, make voice and phone calls, review primary vehicle settings, and locate nearby charging stations directly from the main screen. In addition, temporary cards appear dynamically whenever specific vehicle features run, while a simple swipe expands full application views to the central Pilot Panel.

Furthermore, new Quick Controls allow motorists to swipe down directly from the top of the Pilot Panel to adjust critical settings rapidly on the go. Driver profile management has also received functional upgrades, featuring faster switching between presets, enhanced owner controls over linked physical keys, and a dedicated six-digit PIN verification process to exit Guest mode safely.

Smart EV Navigation and Routing

Through Air UX 3.0, drivers receive tailored routing options based on charging network preferences and battery arrival thresholds. The dual-screen navigation interface includes saved Favorites, charging adapter filters, and an Auto Dark Mode to improve visibility and reduce eye strain during night journeys.

Marc Solsona Palomar, VP of Software at Lucid, stated that the update reflects the company’s commitment to continuous customer experience improvements by bringing modern digital advancements to the vehicle lineup.

Expanded Smartphone Integration

The software update expands Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across the entire right side of the Cockpit Display. Consequently, users gain a larger interface area for navigation, hands-free phone calls, audio streaming apps, and messaging platforms. Both wireless connectivity and wired USB connections remain fully supported across compatible mobile devices.

Hardware Upgrade and Availability

Over-the-air distribution began on September 29, 2026, for model year 2025 and newer vehicles. Eligible older vehicles require a hardware modification to run Air UX 3.0 effectively. For model years 2022, 2023, and select 2024 units, Lucid offers an infotainment processor replacement priced at $950 in the United States, with international pricing scheduled for later release.
