Patrol 75th Anniversary Edition
Nissan has introduced the Nissan Patrol 75th Anniversary edition as an exclusive release for the Middle East to mark seven decades of the four-wheel-drive vehicle. The Japanese automaker confirmed that initial production will be limited to 1,951 units, referencing the year the original model debuted.
First launched in Japan in 1951 as the 4W60, the vehicle began as a utility transport capable of scaling Mount Fuji. Over seven generations, global sales have surpassed two million units across 42 international markets. The brand established its presence in Saudi Arabia in 1957, when the first delivery arrived in the Kingdom.

Under the hood, the twin-turbocharged six-cylinder powertrain delivers performance tailored to regional desert terrain and highway conditions, contributing to the broader automotive market in the Gulf.
Historical Milestones Across Seven Generations
The second-generation 60 Series expanded international shipments to Colombia, Australia, and the United States in the early 1960s. During that era, the vehicle became the first motorized transport to cross the Simpson Desert in Australia, crossing 1,100 sand dunes in 12 days.
The third-generation 160 arrived in 1980 as a passenger-oriented SUV offering five-door and seven-seat configurations. In 1983, production expanded to Barcelona, making it the first Nissan vehicle manufactured in Europe. The vehicle subsequently won the unmodified division of the Australian Off-Road Championship for 15 consecutive years through 1998.
