Technology firm F5 has named Mohammed Al Tamimi as its Senior Director of Field Sales Management for the Gulf region. The appointment places the executive in charge of local sales operations as the company works with enterprise clients across regional markets. In this role, the regional team focuses on helping enterprises deliver and protect digital services, applications, and application programming interfaces across diverse environments.

Regional Expansion Across the Gulf

The business faces shifting market demands driven by modern corporate networks and distributed cloud setups. Consequently, F5 aims to strengthen its market presence while assisting organizations that deploy critical workloads across multi-cloud setups. These efforts coincide with growing enterprise demands for managed cybersecurity systems that protect software and network boundaries from unauthorized interference.

Mohammed AbuKhater, Vice President and Managing Director of F5 Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa, stated that cloud complexity is increasing across enterprise environments. In addition, AbuKhater noted that artificial intelligence inference is altering application structures and network traffic distributions. As security threats grow in volume, the company expects the new sales leadership to support regional customers facing technical hurdles.

Background of Mohammed Al Tamimi

With a career spanning more than 20 years in the technology sector, Mohammed Al Tamimi brings operational leadership across the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa. Prior to joining F5, he worked at Akamai as the Regional Sales Leader for the Enterprise Security Group in the META region. During his tenure at Akamai, he established and managed the enterprise security unit from its early foundation.

Earlier, he spent six years at Rubrik as Regional Director for META, serving as the company’s first employee in the region. In that capacity, he directed the expansion of business operations, sales channels, and personnel. His previous work history also includes leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks, alongside earlier sales and engineering positions at Commvault, Dell, HP, and Microsoft.

Deploying Enterprise AI Protection

The leadership transition follows recent technical portfolio additions by F5 in the region, particularly the rollout of its specialized security framework. Specifically, the F5 AI Security Platform provides ongoing governance, system visibility, and automated defense for corporate artificial intelligence applications. This technology secures proprietary enterprise models, automated agents, and the underlying interfaces that link them together.

Moreover, the system relies on an adaptive cycle designed to discover, inspect, govern, and defend active enterprise workloads. This product strategy broadens the existing Application Delivery and Security Platform model. As regional businesses adopt machine learning workflows, securing data movement and connected microservices has become an operational priority.

Securing Applications and Digital Interfaces

Modern enterprises increasingly rely on specialized software connections to deliver digital services to consumers. As a result, maintaining uptime and system integrity across distributed apps remains a primary operational challenge for technical directors. F5 continues to deploy its delivery solutions to ensure that corporate systems function reliably across multiple computing domains.

“I look forward to helping organizations thrive in this dynamic environment, where it is more important than ever to keep apps and APIs fast, available, and secure wherever they run.”
