Automechanika Shanghai 2026 will gather the international automotive supply chain from December 2 to 5 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Middle Eastern manufacturers and suppliers are expanding operations in vehicle assembly and electric mobility, creating fresh demand for parts, equipment, and aftermarket services.
Exhibition Scale at Automechanika Shanghai 2026
The 21st edition of the trade fair will cover 390,000 square meters across 16 halls and the mezzanine floor. Organizers confirmed that Automechanika Shanghai 2026 will host roughly 7,600 exhibitors from across the globe. By comparison, the 2025 gathering welcomed 253,691 visitors representing 190 countries and regions. The upcoming event features exhibition booths alongside 100 fringe events, workshops, and business conferences.

Electrification and Supply Chain Components
Parts and components represent the largest segment of the show floor, gathering more than 4,200 exhibitors. Specifically, these displays feature chassis, powertrains, lightweight structural materials, and thermal control systems for combustion engines, hybrid setups, and electric models. Upgrades in bodywork, diagnostic tools, and smart tyres will be displayed for commercial and passenger fleets alike.
Meanwhile, the New Energy and Connectivity sector grew by 20 percent, bringing together 700 exhibitors. These participants focus on electric drivetrains, battery swapping, autonomous systems, and AI applications. The newly introduced Global Quality Alliance Hub applies the IATF 16949 standard to align testing bodies, training organizations, and industrial regulators.
Regional Demand and Manufacturing Expansion
Light vehicle sales in Gulf Cooperation Council markets continue to increase steadily. Consequently, regional distributors require reliable access to spare components and maintenance tools for conventional engines as well as electric vehicles. Middle Eastern procurement teams plan to attend Automechanika Shanghai 2026 to secure direct supply contracts.
Asian manufacturing centers also continue to post substantial production figures in the economy. Chinese vehicle exporters recorded approximately $117 billion in global shipments, with significant volume coming from new energy models. Producers in Thailand, India, Japan, and South Korea also supply finished vehicles and assemblies internationally.
Conferences and Technical Exchanges
More than 480 technical specialists will speak during the official event schedule. The programme operates across five distinct tracks covering regulatory policy, workforce education, and research partnerships. Furthermore, the Automotive Supply-Demand Matching Series will link part builders directly with assembly plants throughout the year.
