Intersec Saudi Arabia has officially postponed its upcoming edition to October 2027, according to an announcement issued by organizer Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia. The decision comes after continuous monitoring of recent developments within the Kingdom and involved direct coordination with venue officials, government partners, and relevant international stakeholders.

The scheduling adjustment prioritizes the overall security and wellbeing of exhibitors, trade visitors, contractors, and event personnel. In addition, organizers stated that moving the date helps protect the commercial return and international participation levels that define the safety and cybersecurity profile of the exhibition.

Reasons Behind the Schedule Revision

Event leadership explained that holding the gathering at a later time ensures that participants obtain full commercial value from the platform. Riham Sedik, Show Director for the trade show at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, noted the necessity of the timeline shift.

“This decision is a result of a careful review of the current situation and one that puts the safety and wellbeing of customers, partners, attendees, and teams first. Since 2019, Intersec Saudi Arabia has strengthened its position as a flagship platform connecting the global security, safety, and fire protection ecosystem in the Kingdom.”

Sedik stated that with only weeks remaining before the planned start, postponing the exhibition allows the team to deliver an optimal operational experience for regional and global delegations next year.

Role of Intersec Saudi Arabia

Since establishing operations, the gathering has acted as a critical conduit connecting government entities with private security suppliers, buyers, and technical specialists. Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director for Security, Technology, and Production at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, emphasized that work continues behind the scenes to support the industry in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.

“While continuing to support our people, customers, and partners in Saudi Arabia, we remain equally committed to the international community that has supported the show over the years. Our focus is now on returning with an impactful event in 2027, reflecting the ambition of the Saudi market and the strength of the global Intersec brand.”
