The latest Desert Technologies ESG report confirms that the clean energy and smart infrastructure company achieved all 13 of its corporate sustainability targets for 2025. Based in Saudi Arabia, the company published operational and environmental results detailing carbon avoidance, renewable power capacity, and national workforce growth. The report follows global reporting practices, specifically referencing IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 standards.
Desert Technologies ESG Disclosures and Targets
According to official data released by the firm, installed client solutions avoided 126,055 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions throughout 2025. This annual volume raised the cumulative emissions avoided by the company since its founding to approximately 827,000 tonnes. Furthermore, the organization aligned its annual documentation with International Financial Reporting Standards to ensure verifiable reporting across environmental, social, and governance metrics.
Operational Capacity and Clean Energy Generation
On the operational front, total capacity for solar installations delivered or currently in progress exceeded 200 MW. Active installations generate approximately 240 GWh of clean electricity each year across their respective grids. Consequently, these facilities expand access to utility-scale renewable power across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
“Every megawatt of clean energy brought into operation represents another step toward increasing the share of clean energy in the overall energy mix.”
Khaled Sharbatly, CEO of Desert Technologies
Beyond operational figures, the Desert Technologies ESG roadmap demonstrates growing integration with regional grids. Khaled Sharbatly stated that the shift toward renewable energy remains a core duty for current industry leaders, pointing to national programs that guide public and private utility investments.
Workforce Growth and National Content
The company also expanded its contribution to the national economy by recording a certified local content score of 30.42%, outperforming its initial 30% baseline. At the same time, staff headcount expanded from 107 professionals at the close of 2024 to 119 by late 2025. Saudi nationals now represent 31% of the total workforce following targeted technical training initiatives.
Strategic Objectives and Regional Scope
Future updates to the Desert Technologies ESG framework will continue tracking clean energy capacity across its operating footprint spanning more than 30 countries. The company indicated that its engineering, procurement, and construction services will focus on regional projects that directly support the diversification milestones of Saudi Vision 2030.
